The French Academy of Agriculture
is present at the 62nd International Agricultural Show
Hall 5.2 - Stand D.035
February 21 - March 1, 2026
For the 10th consecutive year, the French Academy of Agriculture (AAF) is present at the International Agricultural Show (SIA). Throughout the show, several dozen of academicians will meet with the general public and professionals to listen, exchange, explain, and offer activities around major challenges in agriculture, food, and the environment.
A context marked by multiple crises
The participation of the French Academy of Agriculture at the International Agricultural Show occurs in a context of persistent tensions affecting the agricultural world. Income, generational renewal, competitiveness, food sovereignty, ecological transition, and access to sustainable food reflect profound transformations affecting the entire food system, from production to consumption, closely linked to environmental issues.
An appeal to open the debate
In this context, the French Academy of Agriculture has published an appeal calling for a move beyond a conjunctural reading of crises to recognize their structural and systemic dimensions. It invites the opening of a national debate, led by the State, enlightened by scientific knowledge, and organized as closely as possible to the territories, in order to collectively define the transition trajectories of agricultural and food systems.
With the expertise of its 600 members — scientists, practitioners, farmers, and specialists in agriculture, food, and environment fields — the Academy intends to actively contribute to this collective reflection and foster exchanges with the public and professionals during the Show.
