The Paris International Agricultural Show pays tribute to Didier Guillaume.
A good man
Didier Guillaume has left us, and it is heartbreaking news, for a friend of French agriculture is gone, a friend of the Paris International Agricultural Show has departed, a friend is now far away.
We could share countless anecdotes about his visits to the Show, as he loved walking its aisles with enthusiasm and kindness. He constantly drew parallels between sport and agriculture, believing that it's in the scrum that you recognize a truly great team!
He loved agriculture, but above all, he loved farmers—because, true to his well-known approach, his actions were always in service of the men and women of this country.
There are men like there are seasons, and Didier Guillaume was summer—with his charm, festive spirit, fiery passion, and way of forging friendships everywhere.
Time will judge the political figure with respect, but no time is needed to judge the man: a good man.
To his wife Béatrice, his children, his family, and his teams, the Show extends its sincere condolences.
