“Generations Solutions”: SIA 2026, at the heart of an agricultural world moving forward together.
Trade fairs, whatever their nature, must constantly adapt to the unexpected — especially when they are agricultural! The SIA is no exception and will soon celebrate the remarkable adaptability of the men and women of the land, and of France’s largest public event.
This autumn season has been particularly intense: Innov-Agri, SPACE and the Sommet de l’Élevage have all confirmed the vitality and commitment of the agricultural world. Yet this vitality is increasingly challenged by unforeseen events: this fall, lumpy skin disease forced several events to cancel their cattle competitions and presentations — another proof of the sector’s ability to face difficulties, adapt and endure.
Agricultural fairs perfectly illustrate the ups and downs experienced by the profession. Farmers often face financial difficulties while helping to make France Europe’s leading agricultural nation, with an estimated production of €89.3 billion in 2024*. Some sectors are suffering, yet continue to move forward. Agricultural events confront the unexpected, but have never attracted so many visitors or showcased so many innovations.
The 2026 edition of the Paris International Agricultural Show, held from February 21 to March 1, will perfectly reflect this duality. Under the banner of “Generations Solutions,” it invites everyone to look ahead — to build, to connect, to unite — and promises to be the Show of transformation. A Show where threats and opportunities coexist, where every disruption forces us to redefine our rules, where anger and distress are inseparable from the pride of carrying out the essential task of feeding people.
“Generations Solutions” is both a statement and a project.
The statement: farmers, once guided by the rhythm of the seasons, now live by the rhythm of economic, climate, and health crises. Risks are multiplying, professions are changing, and so are the ways to invest in them, both personally and financially. Yet farms stand strong, and farmers innovate, often quietly. Another statement: without generational renewal, the uniqueness of French agriculture would fade away.
The project: to make SIA visitors part of the solution — whether citizens, consumers, or decision-makers — by encouraging successful initiatives, supporting youth, and giving each agricultural model — family-based, collective, or innovative — the means to thrive. Above all, by fueling our best social, economic, and ecological engine: made in France!
“Generations Solutions” also marks a symbolic edition of the Show, with enhanced visibility for what works and inspires hope within the agricultural world, alongside a new exhibition layout. This adaptation — without compromising comfort, safety, or visitor experience — is part of the third and final phase of the modernization of the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center. An unexpected challenge that SIA 2026 transforms into momentum, renewing the experience enjoyed each year by one in six French people. The choice of a Brahman cow as the emblematic breed of the Show embodies this same spirit of renewal, adaptation, and innovation rooted in tradition.
Turning challenges into drivers of positive transformation — that is the ambition of SIA 2026. When change becomes collective, it becomes a strength. As the opening approaches, let us come together to celebrate agricultural resilience — now, more than ever, a true source of pride.
