As tradition has it, the International Agricultural Show today unveils the mascot cow for its next edition, which will take place from February 21 to March 1, 2026, at Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles. And this year, there's something new as the SIA has chosen, for the first time, to honor the Brahman breed, a pride of Martinique and Guyanese farms, through Biguine and her breeder André Prosper. A choice of the heart, a choice of recognition, but also a choice for the future.

Biguine

A worthy descendant of the Indian zebu, Biguine perfectly illustrates the attributes of the Brahman breed: a white coat with a silvery gray sheen, long horns, a hump on her shoulders, very loose skin around her neck (called a dewlap), large drooping ears, and a black muzzle. Within her herd, she leaves no one indifferent with her natural elegance, her magnificent horns perched atop her head, and her piercing gaze, highlighted in black.
André Prosper
"The Brahman breed is the preferred livestock for tropical regions. It represents an agriculture that is both productive and sustainable, and contributes to the development of resilient cattle production in the face of climate change. It is a fascinating breed, which is fully part of French agricultural heritage. And I am proud to introduce it in France, thanks to the 2026 International Agricultural Show, with Biguine !"
