Most of the animals present at the Paris International Agricultural Show participate in the prestigious Concours Général des Animaux. The best of French genetics is awarded here. The animals are carefully selected by breed selection organizations and passionate breeders, always available to share their knowledge and promote their regions.
Come and discover exceptional cows, sheep, goats, and pigs—true ambassadors of their species—by following the prestigious aisles of Pavilion 1!
To honor and celebrate the work of breeders, visit the two CGA rings that animate the Pavilion:

  • The central sheeps ring for sheeps and goats demonstrations, presentations and contests
  • The pigs ring for presentations and contests of pigs

The Grand Ring of Pavilion 1 is reinventing itself!

In 2026, the Grand Ring at SIA returned with an unprecedented program! Horses and donkeys took over the space, coexisting with sheep and cattle, the historic residents of the Pavilion.

For the sheep, the traditional Ovinpiades des Jeunes Bergers remained at the forefront. The national final of this friendly competition took place on February 21, 2026, the opening day of the Salon.

The cattle, absent from the stalls but represented by their selection organizations, animated the Grand Ring through unique and interactive presentation sessions (films, interactive games, tastings).
